PRIVACY POLICY.

We Give a F, z.s. (hereinafter also referred to as “We Give a F”), as the controller of your personal data, is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the principles of transparency, ethical information practices, and applicable data protection laws, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons concerning the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation hereinafter “GDPR”), as well as Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the Processing of Personal Data.

 

We Give a F aims to ensure the highest level of protection for your personal data during all operations related to its processing (e.g., collection, storage, retrieval, structuring, organization, deletion, etc.).

 

This Privacy Policy may be amended in the future due to legislative or operational requirements. The current version will always be available on this website.

 

Data controller and data processor

We Give a F is a registered association (non-profit organization) with its registered office at Jana Palacha 1636, 272 01 Kladno, Czech Republic, Company ID No. 23467321, registered with the Municipal Court in Prague under file No. L 80740.

What Personal Data We Process

The personal data we may collect and process include, in particular, the following reference data:

 

  • Basic identification data (first name, last name)

  • Contact details (telephone number, e-mail address, etc.)

 

We Give a F most commonly obtains personal data in connection with online and offline signature campaigns (petitions, appeals, surveys, forms, etc.) and financial donations. The scope of data corresponds to the information voluntarily provided as part of these activities and most commonly includes: first name and last name, contact address, e-mail address, telephone number, postal code, year of birth, bank details (account number, bank code), where applicable

 

In addition to the personal data listed above, we record and store so-called behavioral data, including, in particular, participation in our events and activities, opening of e-mails sent by us, payment monitoring, records of telephone conversations, frequency of signing online petitions, and other online and offline activities.

 

To analyze visits to our website and improve its functionality, we use Google Analytics. Google Analytics automatically collects anonymous information about visits to these websites through cookies. Our websites also contain cookies necessary for their operation. We Give a F does not collect any personal data through functional cookies.

 

Our websites may also contain links to third-party websites, especially social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, etc. These services may use cookies for purposes independent of We Give a F. Third-party cookies are governed by the privacy policies of those third parties. Cookies can be blocked through your internet browser settings.

 

For the administration of our websites, technical information related to requests for content from the server may also be collected, such as IP address, time of request, browser type, operating system.

 

As a non-profit organization, we need to stay in contact with people who share our values, activities, and goals. At the same time, we fully respect your preferences, including any request to discontinue contact.

 

If you have given general consent to be contacted through various forms, or in connection with signing a petition, appeal, or statement, or if you have made a financial donation, we will regularly inform you about the activities of We Give a F, the issues we work on, and opportunities to participate in campaigns and events.

 

If you have signed one of our petitions, appeals, or statements without giving general consent to be contacted as described above, we may occasionally inform you about important developments related to that specific signature campaign or related advocacy efforts. In justified cases, we may also contact you regarding another campaign based on the same values as the campaign you supported. We may also send you a request for general contact consent or a message thanking you for your support.

 

If you click the unsubscribe link included at the end of every bulk e-mail, we will no longer send you bulk e-mails. If you request that we cease contacting you, we will not contact you in any way except where strictly necessary (e.g., performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, etc.).

 

Data retention period

In accordance with the principle of data minimization, We Give a F, as the controller of your personal data, will retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected. This period is determined by applicable laws or our internal policies.

 

Personal data processed based on your consent will be processed for the period for which consent was granted or until you withdraw your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time without stating any reason. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

 

Recipients of personal data

As a rule, we do not disclose personal data relating to individuals unless required to do so by law or unless we have your consent.

 

Within the European Union, the free movement of personal data applies, and the same data protection rules generally apply as in the Czech Republic. Any transfer of personal data to third countries or international organizations may only take place under the conditions set by applicable legislation.

 

Personal data provided in connection with signing a petition may also be transferred to the petition recipient or the relevant public authority.

 

Your Rights

As a data subject, you have the right to request that We Give a F, as the data controller:

 

  • Inform you about all personal data we collect about you

  • Correct inaccurate personal data

  • Erase your personal data

  • Transfer your personal data (data portability)

  • Object to the processing of your personal data

  • Restrict the processing of your personal data

  • Inform you of a serious incident affecting your personal data

  • Withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data

 

Information will be provided only after your identity has been reliably verified. The time limit for responding to your request is 30 days.

 

If you wish to exercise any of your rights, please contact the Data Protection Officer.

 

We Give a F may refuse requests for information that are unfounded, excessively repetitive, require disproportionate effort, or involve data that is difficult to retrieve (typically from backup systems, archives, etc.).

 

Updating data and right to rectification

Since personal data may change over time (for example, due to a change of surname or address), we would appreciate being informed of any changes.

 

This is related to your right to have inaccurate personal data corrected. If you discover that the data we hold is no longer accurate or up to date, you have the right to request its correction. We may also contact you ourselves to request updates.
